A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Honoring and congratulating Mr. Melvin (Joe) Shaw
on his 100th birthday.
WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw has been a proud South Dakotan and resident of Legislative District
23 in Gettysburg; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw has been a loving family man, with one son Harlen, two grandsons
Rick and David, and two great grandchildren Samantha and Spencer; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw was born the same year as our State Capitol and the Potter County
Court House were built:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Eighty-fifth Legislature of the
State of South Dakota, that we honor and congratulate Mr. Melvin (Joe) Shaw on his 100th
birthday.
