FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to
revise certain provisions regarding the teacher
compensation assistance program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 13-3 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

Section 1. That chapter 13-3 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:
Once all the school districts with approved applications have received their funding pursuant
to
§
13-3-73, the Department of Education may set aside from any funds remaining, a sum not
to exceed one hundred thousand dollars from the teacher compensation assistance program
appropriation for the purpose of providing grants to educational cooperatives and multi-district
centers that employ teachers for public schools. The South Dakota Board of Education may
promulgate rules, pursuant to chapter 1-26, to establish the granting process.
