FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to require legislative authority for refugee actions under
South Dakota law.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That § 28-1-47 be amended to read:
28-1-47.The Subject to legislative approval by means of an enacted law or resolution, the
Department of Social Services may enter into agreements with agencies of the United States for
the purpose of participating in the Refugee Act of 1980 (P.L. 96-212).
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That § 28-1-47 be amended to read:
