FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to provide for the issuance of certain hunting licenses to
nonresident military veterans at the resident rate.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 41-6 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:

Any nonresident, who is a veteran as defined in § 33A-2-1 having served in the Armed
Forces of the United States, was discharged honorably or under honorable conditions and was
a resident of the state for one year preceding entry into military service, may obtain a
nonresident small game license at the resident license rate. The veteran shall provide proof of
military service and honorable discharge, or discharge under honorable conditions, at the time
of application by submitting a DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active
Duty), DD-Form 2 (Retired), DD-Form 2A (Reserve Retired), or an NGB 22 (National Guard
Report of Separation and Record of Service).
