FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to prohibit certain administrators of state boards or
commissions from lobbying for other entities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 2-12 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:

Section 1. That chapter 2-12 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:
A person who is the executive director or the executive secretary of any state board or
commission may only act or register as a lobbyist for the board or commission for which the
person serves as executive director or executive secretary. A violation of this section is a Class
1 misdemeanor.
