FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to revise certain provisions regarding collective bargaining
for teachers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 13-39 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:

Section 1. That chapter 13-39 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:
Notwithstanding any provision in chapters 13-39 or 60-9A, there shall be a separate
collective bargaining unit and negotiations for kindergarten through grade twelve teachers and
for postsecondary technical institute instructors within the same LEA.
