FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to require approval of certain federal grants.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 4-8 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:

Section 1. That chapter 4-8 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:
Notwithstanding § 4-8-17, no multiyear or continuation grant award from the federal
government may be amended or reinstated without review by the special committee created by
chapter 4-8A and then only with the affirmative vote on acceptance of the funds by a majority
of the full membership of the special committee.

For the purposes of this Act, the term, multiyear or continuation grant award, means a grant
award which lasts more than twelve months.
