34-24C-1Program to educate public.

The Department of Health may establish a program to provide education to the public on mammograms.

34-24C-2Program to provide money to medical institutions--Subsidies based upon income of mammogram recipient--Promulgation of rules.

The Department of Health may establish a program which provides money to medical institutions for mammograms. The grant program shall subsidize mammograms based upon the income of the recipient of the mammogram. The secretary of health shall promulgate rules, pursuant to chapter 1-26, to establish the application procedure for grants, the income guidelines for those who receive mammograms, and the amount of subsidy.

34-24C-3Application for grant to provide subsidized mammograms--Responsibilities of grant recipients.

Any medical institution in this state may apply to the Department of Health for a grant to provide subsidized mammograms. Any medical institution that receives a grant pursuant to this chapter shall, as a condition of the grant, report to the Department of Health the frequency of mammograms, the number and amount of subsidies provided and the detection of cancer resulting from those mammograms.

34-24C-4"Medical institution" defined.

For the purposes of this chapter, a medical institution is any hospital, X ray center, doctor's office, or medical clinic.
