    44:73:04:13.  Care policies. Each facility shall establish and maintain policies, procedures, and practices that follow accepted standards of professional practice to govern care, and related medical or other services necessary to meet the residents' needs. Each facility shall establish and maintain policies and procedures for the management of adult day care clients and respite care residents if the facility offers those services.

    For the purposes of this section, the term "respite care" means care permitted within the scope of a facility license, with a limited stay no greater than thirty days for any one resident.
