A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Recognizing and commending Staff Sergeant Janay Jones
on being selected as Military Volunteer of the Year of the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force
Base.
WHEREAS, Staff Sergeant Janay Jones guided a buddy check program; and
WHEREAS, she chaired an incredible four-hour fundraising event to raise mental health
awareness; and
WHEREAS, this event secured over one thousand dollars for one hundred twenty-six Airmen; and
WHEREAS, her dedication and volunteered time fuels effectiveness of the 28th Bomb Wing to
provide airpower anytime, anywhere;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Fourth Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that the Legislature commends Staff Sergeant Janay Jones on being selected as
Military Volunteer of the Year of the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base.
