An Act to require the playing of an honor song or Lakota Flag Song at certain graduation ceremonies upon student request.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That chapter 13-1 be amended with a NEW SECTION:

A high school, technical college, or institution governed by the Board of Regents must permit the playing of an honor song or Lakota Flag Song at a graduation ceremony, if requested by a graduating student at least two weeks before the ceremony.
