A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Honoring Ritchie Nordstrom for being selected to join the National League of Cities' 2022 Transportation and Infrastructure Services Federal Advocacy Committee.

WHEREAS, On January 5, 2022, Rapid City alderman Ritchie Nordstrom was selected to represent South Dakota and provide input and share insight on transportation and infrastructure issues facing municipalities and communities around the country; and

WHEREAS, Alderman Nordstrom will work alongside diverse groups of local leaders to shape the policy positions of the National League of Cities and to advocate for municipalities and communities before Congress and the President of the United States; and

WHEREAS, Alderman Nordstrom will observe the effective strategies used in other municipalities and communities and use this appointment to improve Rapid City, and by extension, South Dakota:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Seventh Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that alderman Ritchie Nordstrom be honored for his selection to the National League of Cities 2022 Transportation and Infrastructure Services Federal Advocacy Committee.
