A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Commending Maiya Muller for winning the State Class A girls golf individual title.

WHEREAS, Maiya Muller has a long history of involvement with the sport of golf; and

WHEREAS, Maiya competed as a sophomore in the Class A state golf tournament at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club in June 2021; and

WHEREAS, Maiya won the individual state championship by one stroke with a 36-hole score of 155; and

WHEREAS, Maiya is the first golfer from Beresford to win an individual state girls golf championship since Sandra Erickson in 1982:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Seventh Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that Maiya Muller is commended for her excellent performance and victory at the 2021 Class A state golf tournament.
