A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Celebrating the Parkston Trojans as the 2023 class 9AA state football champions.

WHEREAS, the 2023 Parkston Trojan football team had an undefeated season with a record of 12-0 and outscored their opponents by a total of 494 to 30; and

WHEREAS, the Trojans shut-out a total of eight opposing teams, including two during playoff games; and

WHEREAS, the Parkston community showed tremendous support for the Trojans with an outstanding turnout of fans throughout the season; and

WHEREAS, the Trojans defeated the Howard Tigers in the championship game by a score of 12-7, becoming the 2023 class 9AA state football champions:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Ninth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that the Parkston Trojans displayed exemplary teamwork, leadership, and commitment in winning the 2023 9AA state football championship.
