ENTITLED, An Act to establish a license fee for electric-powered motorcycles.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. That § 32-5-9 be amended to read as follows:
    32-5-9. The license fee for use of the highways is fourteen dollars and fifty cents for any motorcycle with a piston displacement of less than three hundred fifty cubic centimeters and seventeen dollars for any motorcycle with a piston displacement of three hundred fifty cubic centimeters or more. The license fee for any motorcycle propelled by an electric motor that draws power from a battery that is capable of being recharged is the highest fee level authorized by this section.
