        FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to revise provisions regarding state-owned motor vehicles.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. That chapter 5-25 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:
    Each office, department, institution, board, and agency of this state shall maintain and operate any state-owned passenger motor vehicle for at least ten years or until the vehicle reaches a mileage of at least one hundred and seventy-five thousand miles, before the vehicle may be removed from operation. However, if the vehicle is damaged and the cost to repair would be greater than the value of the vehicle, the motor vehicle may be removed from service.
