FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to make an appropriation to the Department of Game, Fish
and Parks to fund certain improvements to Palisades State Park and to declare an
emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of four hundred thousand one dollars ($400,001), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Department of Game, Fish and Parks to be used for the construction of improvements to Palisades State Park.
Section 2. The Department of Game, Fish and Parks may accept and expend for the purposes of this Act, in addition to the amounts authorized in this Act, any funds which it may obtain from federal sources, gifts, contributions, or any other source, if the acceptance and expenditure is approved under § 4-8B-10.
Section 3. The Bureau of Administration, pursuant to § 5-14-2, shall supervise the design and construction of these projects. The state engineer and the secretary of the Department of Game, Fish and Parks shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.
Section 4. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated shall revert in accordance with the procedures prescribed in chapter 4-8.
Section 5. Whereas, this Act is necessary for the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
